The kids are back in school and there is a hint of fall in the air!

7. NORTHVILLE HERITAGE FESTIVAL
We’re starting off with the Northville Heritage Festival, the city’s celebrating its rich history and small town charm. All the food and fun kicks off with a Victorian parade.
The Northville Heritage Festival runs Sept. 13 to 15.
6. BREWS, BBQ & BOURBON (STERLING HEIGHTS)
6th takes us to Sterling Heights for Brews, BBQ and Bourbon at Michigan Lottery Amphitheater Sept. 20 to 22. Beer & bourbon not your thing? Look for hard ciders & sodas, games & live music.
5. HURON APPLE FEST (NEW BOSTON)
In 5th, it’s all things apples at the Huron Apple Fest in New Boston. There’s a parade, live entertainment, fiddlers competition and an apple pie baking contest! It’s always the first weekend of October!
4. MICHIGAN RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL (HOLLY)
Go back to the 16th century at the Michigan Renaissance Festival in Holly. It has jousting, food fit for a king and themed weekends. It’s open weekend runs through Sept. 29th.
3. HALLOWE’EN IN GREENFIELD VILLAGE (DEARBORN)
Dearborn and Hallowe’en in Greenfield Village land in 4th. Highlights include storybook characters and a path lit by more than 1,000 hand-carved jack-o’-lanterns.
