Wayne State University will raise tuition 2.9 percent for the 2018-19 school year.The school’s board of governors approved a $655 million budget Friday, including the hike of $10.84 per credit hour for undergraduate students, according to a news release.The budget also provides for a 7.1 percent rise in financial aid to an annual total of $79.4 million. The 2.9 percent tuition increase adds $325.20 per year per resident undergraduate who takes 30 credit hours, WSU spokesman Ted Montgomery said.”Although it never feels good to raise tuition, I’m pleased we were able to limit the increase because our students feel the effects of any increase, big or small,” board of governors Chair Sandy Hughes O’Brien said in the release.
