Two decades ago, Woodside Bible Church in Troy took a bold step of faith by launching its first additional campus in Warren. What began as a small congregation merging with a struggling local church has grown into a thriving spiritual community that has deeply touched the lives of countless residents. Today, Woodside Warren celebrates 20 years of faithful service, outreach, and transformation—marking not just an anniversary, but a story of God’s continued work in the heart of Warren.
From the beginning, Woodside Bible in Warren set out to be more than a Sunday destination. The campus has become a welcoming home where people of all backgrounds can experience belonging, spiritual growth, and practical care. Over the years, families have been strengthened, children and students have been discipled, and individuals who once felt forgotten have found encouragement and hope. The church’s mission—to help people belong to Christ, grow in Christ, and reach the world for Christ—has guided every ministry, event, and act of service.
Community impact has always been at the center of Woodside Warren’s ministry. Through food drives, neighborhood cleanups, school partnerships, and outreach events, the church has built lasting relationships that extend far beyond its walls. Their annual community gatherings, family events, and holiday outreach programs have become traditions that both bless and unite the city. Many residents who first encountered the church through a simple act of kindness later discovered a faith community eager to walk alongside them in every season of life.
A key part of Woodside Warren’s success has been its investment in developing leaders and volunteers from within. Over the years, hundreds of members have stepped into new roles of service—leading small groups, mentoring youth, supporting families in crisis, and even planting new ministries. This culture of empowerment reflects the heart of the early church: ordinary people equipped to do extraordinary work in their neighborhoods and workplaces.
As Woodside’s first additional campus, the Warren location also helped pioneer the multi-site model that would later allow Woodside Bible Church to reach across Southeast Michigan. Lessons learned in Warren—about community connection, consistent service, and long-term faithfulness—helped shape how new campuses were planted and supported. In that sense, Warren has been not only a beacon of local ministry but a trailblazer for a larger movement of outreach and discipleship.
Now celebrating its 20th anniversary, Woodside Warren stands as a living testimony to what can happen when faith, love, and perseverance meet. The congregation continues to look ahead with renewed vision—to reach new families, strengthen partnerships, and deepen its presence in the community. Through changing times and growing needs, one truth has remained constant: the people of Woodside Warren are committed to sharing the hope of Christ with their city—one relationship, one act of kindness, and one life at a time.
Each Sunday, the Woodside Family gathers across 14 communities to learn from God’s Word, worship Him, and unite in prayer. Our worship gatherings are the lifeblood of who we are at Woodside, as we join hands in pursuing a deeper relationship with God through study and praise.
