The Friends of the Grosse Pointe Public Library will hold their Fall Used Book Sale from October 12-15, 2011 at the Ewald Library Branch, 15175 E. Jefferson, Grosse Pointe Park.
Wednesday, October 12 is for members of Friends of the Grosse Pointe Public Library. The Friends-only sale is from 6:00-8:00 PM. Those who wish to join the Friends may pay membership dues on this evening to have the first pick of available books, music CD’s, audiotapes and videotapes. The Friends membership fees are $25 for a single membership or $30 for a family membership.
The sale continues for the general public Thursday, October 13, 10:00 AM.– 8:00 PM and Friday, October 14, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Saturday, October 15 is “BAG DAY” at which customers may fill one of the distributed grocery bags full of books for only $5.00. The Saturday book sale hours are 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Proceeds from used book sales support the Grosse Pointe Public Library.
The Friends of the Grosse Pointe Library invite all library lovers to join them, support the library and enjoy the benefits of membership, which include: pre-admittance to book sales and the Halloween costume sale; free DVD rental on the first Thursday of the month; free admittance to all Classics Books lectures (beginning January, 2012); free admittance to the annual meeting, lecture and reception; and other benefits.
