We’ve been warning you all week.. this weekend is going to be a scorcher! If you’re looking for a place to cool off or maybe a place to kickback with a steamy book and a cold drink, the beaches in southeast Michigan can make you feel like you’re in a whole other world. Our viewers weighed in at our online poll to choose the best beach around for our Thursday’s Top 7.
7. MARTINDALE BEACH (MILFORD)
We’re starting off at Martindale Beach at Kensington Metropark in Milford. It’s right on the edge of Kent lake a beautiful lake where you can boat you can kayak. There are also activities here for the kids. There are slides and playgrounds for a full day of family fun We caught up with cyclist Beth Mcgee, who says she swims across Kent Lake when she’s at the beach. Mcgee has fond memories of bringing her kids when they were younger. Now her kids like to lay out in the sun. “And my kids are older now teenagers. So they don’t splash around as much as they used to but they still like coming.”
