The Lake Orion DDA was searching for fun gathering for their local teens and an Outdoor Movie Night with Wicked Sing-A-Long fit the bill.
The Outdoor Movie Night for Teens is Friday, August 15, at 6:30-10pm in Children’s Park in Downtown Lake Orion. Attendees, no matter their age, are encouraged to dress in their favorite Wicked character or match with the green or pink teams. A photo booth will Wicked props will be onsite to capture everyone in their Wicked gear. A photo contest will also be held with instructions on entry being announced onsite. It will ask attendees to capture their best Wicked moments at the event. The winners will get Lake Orion Downtown Dollars, good at over 40 stores in the downtown area.
A perfect match for the teens is a free slice of pizza courtesy of Little Caesars Pizza Lake Orion. In addition, free popcorn, in either green or pink containers, will be on hand, as well as sweet treats, also designed to support Team Green or Team Pink.
The night includes free Wicked trinkets, Onscreen Trivia, and the camaraderie formed when all are matched to their favorite side and all are singing along to their favorite songs.

The Outdoor Movie Night for Date Night for Adults will be on September 12 from 6-9:30 pm. It will take place in the grass lot on Flint St. across from Johnny Black’s Lakehouse and next to Abeantogo Coffee Shop. Bring a chair or blanket in the soft-lit park-like setting. The Outdoor Movie Night for Kids is September 19 from 6-9:30 pm. It will take place in Children’s Park with lots of kid-friendly games, crafts, and activities. Kids will get to choose between three kid movie titles during the Dragon on the Lake event in Downtown Lake Orion in Flint St. Alley. Winning title will be announced via socials and website.
