Wayne State University Professor Hosts “Ask the Expert” Clean Energy Presentation
What: The Michigan Science Center (MiSci) will celebrate Earth Day April 21–26. Guests will experience hands-on activities each day, including animal habitats (April 21), the sun and earth relationship (April 22), weather (April 23), oceans (April 24), trees (April 25) and recycling (April 26).
Earth Day, April 22, also will feature a special presentation by the Ford Amateur Astronomy Club on telescope solar viewing (weather permitting).
Saturday, April 26 includes a special presentation by Wayne State University Professor Eranda Nikolla. From 1–2 p.m., Nikolla will introduce concepts related to clean energy, fuel cell technology and environmental impact as part of the museum’s monthly “Ask the Expert” series.
MiSci’s second “Eco-Cool” spring break camp will be held April 21–25. Students in grades first through sixth will spend the week uncovering the connections and delicate balance between living and non-living organisms. They will also enjoy exploration time with MiSci’s 250+ hands-on exhibits, theater shows and live stage performances.
