The backyard of a Michigan home has been transformed into a luge track. Russell Bressman built the track for his kids to sled on at their home in Lake Orion in Metro Detroit.
Bressman says it started off as just safety banks to prevent his kids from flying off into their trailers or their wood pile, but he says they were going so fast, he made it longer until it stretched around the whole backyard.
“It was just a thrown-together project that I wanted to do for my kids so they could have fun without having to go out to a public venue,” Bressman told MLive. “I use a hose from the house to mist the track on really cold evenings to build the ice back up to make it smooth so the sleds can pick up some speed.”
