The MCBC is a non-profit organization that has produced superior ballet productions since 1989. It is the professional affiliate company of the Geiger Classic Ballet Academy (GCBA) located in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. In 1985 GCBA School Director Mary Celeste Geiger acquired the school from her mentor the late Sandra Severo. Mrs. Geiger has also led MCBC as its Artistic Director since the company’s founding. At GCBA, dancers from eight to 18 years of age undergo a traditional, highly disciplined study of ballet instruction. The MCBC currently boasts a company of over 60 performers and each year continues to bring the artistry of ballet and the excellence of their productions to metro Detroit audiences.
