Summer is full of car shows sprinkled throughout the motor-city, but one car show promises to offer more than just muscle cars. On July 19, the Power and Platinum Car Show sponsored by a local jewelry store, Showroom of Elegance, located at 6018 N. Canton Center Rd. in Canton hopes to raise money for the Autism Society of Michigan. Headlining this free admission event is a local band called Six Foot Poles, providing a live concert for patrons in the Showroom parking lot. From 5:30pm – 8:30pm people attending this event can enjoy classic cars from America’s Most Wanted Car Club, food vendors, exclusive discounted jewelry and the Six Foot Poles classic rock sound with a Motown twist.
“This live band will bring an extremely special feel to this event,” says Linda Robin, owner of Showroom of Elegance. “What better way to enjoy Mustangs then while listening to a rendition of Mustang Sally.” Six Foot Poles is a five piece band that has been performing for Michigan audiences for 15 years. The band consists of three brothers, Dave, Mark, and Mat Brzezinski who grew up in the suburbs of Detroit. Rounded out by Theo Smith and Joelene Brzezinski, the band plays a variety of classic rock and roll covers throughout the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s.
The name Six Foot Poles comes from the height of the three brothers in the band.
