The Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit’s Henry & Delia Meyers and Library will host its next book club session at noon on Wednesday, Dec. 14. The focus will be Erik Larson’s “In the Garden of Beasts,” the story of Ambassador William E. Dodd and his extraordinary family living in Nazi Germany as Hitler comes to power. It is a true tale of deceit, love, incredible entanglements, naïveté and, ultimately, coming to terms with the reality of evil.
The facilitator will be Sharon Schwartz. Guests are invited to bring their lunch; dessert and coffee will be served.
