Labor Day Weekend is going to be musical thanks to Lexington’s Thumbfest.
Thumbfest is a free acoustic music festival put on by the Blue Water Folk Society. The festival take place on the Saturday during Labor Day weekend every year. Downtown Lexington will be taken over by 12 different stages, each hosting a different genre for people to enjoy. Media coordinator Mike Mercatante said Thumbfest is for all ages and all types of music-lovers.
“If you go down to one stage, but don’t care for that kind of music, just walk down a block and there will be another stage with a different kind of music,” he said.
