At the Language and Literacy Lab, on Ann Arbor’s U of M campus, they study how children learn to speak and to read. They are especially interested in bilingualism and how the human brain makes it possible for humans to acquire multiple languages. Their studies include children with typical development, as well as those with learning disabilities such as dyslexia and hearing deficits and/or cochlear implants.
You are invited to visit the Language and Literacy Laboratory! The studies are one visit, parents receive compensation and information about their children’s language, literacy, and cognitive development, if they participate in the studies for children ages 5-12.
