LakePoint’s mission is to transform lives with the unchanging Word of God in an ever-changing culture. One of the most striking features of this church is its strong emphasis on being an intergenerational community. Children, youth, adults, and seniors are all valued, worshiping together and serving side by side to impact the surrounding neighborhoods. This broad, family-centered approach makes the church feel alive and connected across all ages.
A Fresh Identity Rooted in Place
In 2018, the congregation made a significant transition when it changed its name from Christ the King Church to LakePoint Community Church. The new name reflected a desire to identify closely with the Oxford community and the beautiful lakeside setting of the property. This fresh identity helped open the doors to people throughout the region and signaled a renewed commitment to being a genuine community church.

During our visit, Pastor Jessie delivered a message that was both clear and deeply rooted in Scripture. He has a gift for taking a biblical passage and opening it up in a way that feels fresh, grounded, and immediately relevant. His teaching was direct yet warm, weaving strong biblical truth with practical application. You could sense his passion for the Word of God — not as theory, but as living truth meant to shape real lives. It was the kind of message that stays with you long after the service ends, strengthening both the heart and the mind.

LakePoint offers a full range of ministries designed to support families and individuals. Their children’s ministry is led by passionate volunteers who want to help kids connect with God and with one another. Youth and young adult ministries offer meaningful opportunities for growth and friendship, while adult ministries encourage deeper discipleship and connection. Worship services run about 75 minutes and include nursery and children’s church, making Sundays both accessible and engaging for families.
