Macomb Mall is excited to partner with Mad Science of Detroit and offer fascinating and interactive demonstrations for children 10 and under as part of their Kids Club program during the week of Spring Break. These shows will feature “Mad Scientists” and are not only action packed, but also sneak in some educational items while all of the fun is happening! All events will take place in the Dick’s Sporting Goods Court.
TUESDAY, APRIL 3, 2018, 11:00AM-1:00PM
Fire and Ice – Children will be dazzled and entertained as they interact with the Mad Scientists! Foggy dry ice storms, giant beach balls floating in the air and even a special Mad Science “burp” potion will amaze children as they learn about chemical reactions, air pressure and the states of matter.Superball Station* – Kids will learn about the science of chemical change and about polymers as they make their very own bouncing superball.

Spin, Pop Boom! – The audience will be amazed when the Mad Scientist is able to defy gravity in this energetic and spectacular special event. Didgeridoo tubes, foaming hands and steaming chemical reactions will introduce children to a world of exciting chemistry.Slippery Science Station* – It’s Oooey!! It’s Gooey!! It’s Slimey!! Children will learn all about the amazing properties of polymers while making their very own slime to take home.
