If you ask Pastor Rob his passion his reply is “I love teaching people the Word of God and seeing them grow spiritually”. His deep love of music was instilled in him as a young boy and after graduating from Rochester High School and completing the 4year music curriculum in 2 years at Oakland University, Pastor Rob writes all of the musical arrangements at Heart. With his desire to follow God’s Word completely, he has realized the blessing of living for God and that is clearly shown in his weekly teachings and sermons.
Ordained by Charles &Francis Hunter in Houston, Texas, in 1981, where he was Music Director and Staff Pastor, the Lord spoke to Pastor Rob about starting a new church in his hometown of Rochester, Michigan and Heart of the Hills was born. The church was to be spirit filled, believing in healing and filled with the sounds of worship.
With a monthly men’s ministry, hospital visitation teams, woman’s ministry, weekly Youth Group and Detroit Bible Quizzing; a children’s church for differing age groups and a nursery for our toddlers, Heart of the Hills Christian Church has become all that Pastor Rob envisioned his church to be. We are a family orientated praise and worship congregation.
His Scottish wife Linda has launched the women’s group “The Woman’s “Heart”, sings on the worship team and is supportive of pastor and church in every way.
