At Eastern Market, May flowers will follow April’s showers, and snow — even during a pandemic.
Last year, in-person Flower Day was canceled, and the popular farmers market resorted to virtual orders instead. You could still see a colorful processional of pickups via a Facebook livestream.
But this year, the tradition is back, but in a scaled-down format.
In addition to the 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday Market, flower vendors will be selling from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on four consecutive Tuesdays beginning next week through May 25, mostly in Shed 6.
The vendors will be spaced, and masks will be required.
