Woman’s Life 826 Financial Literacy Celebration Invitation

The dynamic women of Woman’s Life Chapter 826 “The Detroit Chapter” will again offer to the community an opportunity to gain information and services that will be most beneficial to them and their families.

Since the chapter was chartered they have given back over $9000 of to serve the community in some capacity. From feeding the hungry, providing clothes, books, raising funds to help an ill person or financial strapped member, to painting a shelter room, promoting learning to youth, this chapter has a heart to serve and a commitment to make a difference in the lives of the people. Congratulations to WL 826 for always looking for ways to be helpful!

On December 17, 2011 from 10am-1pm join Woman’s Life 826 as they present, Financial Literacy and End of Year Celebration with guests who will help young girls ages 8-12 years and their parents close the year on an high note! The meeting will be held at St John Fellowship Hall located at 20800 LeFever Ave., Warren, MI 48090.

The guest will include Gail Perry-Mason, Senior Director at Oppenhemier, representatives from People Trust Credit Union and Crystal Mosher & Diane Bedore from Woman’s Life Insurance Society. These representatives will cover investing, insurance, annuity, and the value of savings. Each young girl will have an opportunity to open a savings account. This session is our way of giving our young girls a headstart in understanding money and what it can do for them in the future.

The Chapter is keen on sharing knowledge that will add value and increase understanding on ways of being prosperous and secure as they grow up. We want our families in our community equipped to weather the storms of life with resources that will ease them through the challenges.

Call 313.205.7300 to rsvp or just come and be part of the celebration.

We want everyone to bring a young girl 8-12 years as well as books to help us exchange in our efforts to promote literacy at our local schools.
