(grades 6-12) will take place on Saturday, January 11 from 12 to 5 p.m. and on Sunday, January 12 from 12 to 4 p.m. at the Costick Center, located at 28600 W. Eleven Mile Road.
James and the Giant Peach Jr. – Auditioning Grades K-8
Based on one of Roald Dahl’s most poignantly quirky stories, James and the Giant Peach Jr. is a brand new take on this “masterpeach” of a tale. Featuring a wickedly tuneful score and a witty and charming story, this adventurous musical about courage and self-discovery is destined to be a classic. When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that grows a tremendous peach, which he rolls into the ocean and then launches a journey of enormous proportions. James befriends a collection of singing insects that ride the giant piece of fruit across the ocean, facing hunger, sharks, and plenty of disagreements along the way. James and the Giant Peach Jr. will be performed on March 26-29, 2020.
Mamma Mia! – Auditioning Grades 6-12
ABBA’s hits tell the hilarious story of a young woman’s search for her birth father. This sunny and funny tale unfolds on a Greek island paradise. On the eve of her wedding, a daughter’s quest to discover the identity of her father brings three men from her mother’s past back to the island they last visited 20 years ago. The story-telling magic of timeless songs propels this enchanting tale of love, laughter, and friendship, creating an unforgettable show. Mamma Mia! will be performed on April 23-26, 2020.
The Farmington Hills Youth Theatre welcomes and encourages both newcomers and experienced youth actors to audition for its spring shows.
