Downtown Rochester – Kris Kringle Market

The 7th annual Kris Kringle Market returns to Downtown Rochester this holiday season, Friday, Dec. 5, 4:00-10:00 pm and Saturday, Dec. 6, Noon-10:00 pm.  The market will be located on W. Fourth Street between Main and Walnut and will coincide with The Big, Bright Light Show.

The Kris Kringle Market, presented by Lincoln of Troy and C & G Newspapers, is inspired by the 700 year-old tradition of the European Christmas markets.  Visitors can enjoy the food, shopping, entertainment and ambience of an open-air holiday market.  Offerings include hand-crafted gifts, ornaments, fresh holiday greens, baked goods, specialty foods and much more.

Children can enjoy a visit and photo opportunity with Santa Claus, a free kid’s craft activity and a chance to play in kid-sized gingerbread houses donated and built by Bloomingdale Construction.

Food and beverage will be available in the warming tent.  Purchase your commemorative glass mug filled with Gluhwein or enjoy a glass of hand-crafted beer from the Rochester Mills Beer Co.

Products range from Michigan themed apparel and handcrafted jewelry to Dresden stollen and handmade sugar cookies.  Vendors will include Bavarian Roasted Almonds Co., Nitsches Meats & Deli, The Original Strudel Factory, Iconic Detroit and so much more!

“With one-of-a kind shopping, food and drink, musical entertainment and great gifts for the holidays, this community-wide event will become part of your holiday tradition,” commented Nancy Voges, Marketing Coordinator for the Rochester DDA.

The Kris Kringle Market is presented by Lincoln of Troy and C & G Newspapers and sponsored by Bloomingdale Construction, The Friendship Factory, Henderson Glass, Kidz 1st Pediatrics, Michigan First Credit Union, Moon River Soap Company, Olive Vinegar, RE/MAX Defined, Somerset Lending and the Rochester DDA.
