Detroit's Spot Lite is a record store, venue, bar and art gallery all-in-one

Spot Lite is a new Motor City venue, record store and gallery focusing on house music, jazz, R&B and soul Officially open as of last week, it’s located in the Islandview neighbourhood and can hold up to 400 people, the Detroit Metro Times reported. In addition to hosting live music, Spot Lite includes a record store, a DJ booth, a cocktail bar and space to exhibit art and screen films. It’s run by the same team behind 1xRun, a local art print shop and gallery that curates installations during Movement Detroit. This year’s festival—a smaller version called Micro Movement—will partly take place at Spot Lite in addition to two other venues, TV Lounge and Magic Stick Alley Deck.
