The Detroit-Windsor Tunnel has announced its reopening on Thursday, Jan. 31, upon the substantial completion of its $21.6 million restoration project, which has been ongoing since January 2017.
The tunnel will reopen from Feb. 3 to Mar. 3, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, until ancillary work is completed. There will be scheduled closures over the next few months to complete some of the ancillary work, but the traveling public will be notified of these closures in advance.
