After signing foundational players Penei Sewell and Amon-Ra St. Brown to massive extensions, the Detroit Lions have inked a third key piece of their franchise. According to Adam Schefter, the Lions are signing Jared Goff to a four-year, $212 million extension with a whopping $170 million guaranteed.
At this point, we don’t have the full details of the contract, but if those initial figures hold, it’ll make Goff the second-highest-paid quarterback in the NFL at $53 million per year average, trailing only Joe Burrow ($55 million).
