The Detroit Lions were so close to their first Super Bowl appearance. Tantalizingly close.
But instead, the 2023 season is over after the Lions collapsed in the second half to blow a 17-point lead and fall to the San Francisco 49ers 34-31 in the NFC championship game.
After the game was over, Lions fans were in shock as they reacted to the collapse that ended the season. They showered the team with love for completing the most successful Lions season since 1991, but were distraught they couldn’t close the door on making this the best season in franchise history.
