SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (April 21, 2014) – Detroit Chamber Winds & Strings will welcome Peter Soave, the bandoneón and accordion virtuoso for a night of cabaret and chamber music. Works by Astor Piazzolla, the great Argentinian composer and musician will bookend the concert including Five Tango Sensations, a piece for bandoneón and string quartet that was premiered by the Kronos Quartet and Piazzolla in 1989. Works by Mozart, Carlos Gardel, and a premiere by Greg Simon, DCWS’ young composer-in-residence, will also be performed.
