The Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit will present the 7th Annual Comedy for KAT Kickoff, featuring Ross Bennett, on Thursday, December 8 at Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle.
The evening raises funds for Kids All Together (KAT), an award-winning inclusion program that offers children with special needs the opportunity to participate fully in summer programming at the JCC. With support from a one-on-one inclusion counselor, every child has the chance to swim, enjoy arts and crafts, and play sports alongside typically developing peers.
Guest comedian Ross Bennett has appeared on “The Late Show with David Letterman,” “Comedy Central’s Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn” and “Evening at the Improv,” and he was just honored as Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Web Series at the 2016 Los Angeles Web Fest.
Doors for the event open at 6:30, with the show (for those 21 and older) beginning at 7:45 p.m.
Tickets start at $25, which includes two drink tickets. A $50 VIP ticket includes priority seating and two drink tickets. 50/50 raffle tickets are also available for purchase at $10 per ticket or 12 tickets for $100. Event sponsorship opportunities start at $500 and include recognition on marketing materials and tickets to both the Comedy for KAT Kickoff event and Comedy for KAT Night on April 27.
Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle is at 310 S. Troy Street in Royal Oak.
