Are you an amateur brass player looking to perform on stage? If so, then the Detroit Chamber Winds & Strings (DCWS) has an exciting opportunity for you! The DCWS is inviting local musicians to join them for a play-along performance with their large brass ensemble on Sunday, March 5, at 3 p.m. The concert will take place at the Royal Oak First United Methodist Church, where participating musicians will join the DCWS brass players for a performance of Jeremiah Clarke’s Trumpet Voluntary.
If you’re interested in joining this unique opportunity, you’ll need to reserve your spot in advance. The DCWS will send you the music ahead of time, and you’ll need to attend a brief rehearsal of the work on the morning of Saturday, March 4. The conductor for the concert is Timothy Weiss, head of the conducting department at the Oberlin College & Conservatory.
There are several ways to register for this event. You can contact Lane Warren at warren@art-ops.org to reserve your spot or fill out the form below with the web link provided. Please note that the deadline to register is Thursday, March 2. Additionally, participating musicians will receive complimentary admission to the concert, so don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to perform on stage with the DCWS brass ensemble!
