Time for another fabric sale at Arts & Scraps. Presale party is Friday March 30, 6-9 pm ; come meet other fabric lovers and get first pick. Admission is $10 for our educational programming and full bags of fabric are $9. Saturday, March 31, 10 – 4, bags are $8.
New this spring is 7′ mattress ticking on a roll, 20 to 100 yards in a bolt, $0.50 to $1 per yard. Use the quilted pieces for quilt batting (or batting and backing). Some is soft, great for tablecloths, napkins, curtains or lining. Some is stiff, almost plastic like. Think outdoor signs or huge movie screens. Also from this company is foam, 1″ to 3″ thick, could be egg crate, plain or memory foam. We aren’t picking it up until the day of the sale. It’s too big to keep around! It will vary from twin to queen sized beds. Think repadding chairs, futons, extra cushion on that hide a bed, soundproofing a room, costumes or sleep mats for children.
Express (the store) has been very generous again and has shipped many boxes of wonderful fabric from New York. We don’t even peek until the sale. Also, much new fabric on flat bolts and rolls. There are large pieces of upholstery tapestry, cottons for quilting and much more.
