Saginaw County Animal Control wants to highlight the special dangers pets face with sub zero temperatures, so officers will sleep in doghouses next week to prove their point. As Metro Detroit enters its 11th straight day with high temperatures below 20 degrees, and windchill as low as -25, reports have surfaced of animals, particularly ones abandoned outdoors, freezing to death. “We’re their voice, we’re the ones that step up to the plate for them,” Officer Joaquin Guerrero told ABC 12 News. …
