2025 Life Remodeled Six Day Project: A Citywide Invitation to Serve

Thousands of Volunteers to Clear Blight and Beautify Detroit’s East Side This Fall

From September 29 to October 4, 2025, thousands of Detroiters and friends from across the region will come together once again for one of the city’s largest annual volunteer efforts—the Life Remodeled Six Day Project.

This year’s work will focus on a 4-square-mile area surrounding the new Anchor Detroit Hub on the east side, where an old school is being transformed into a community hub for education, workforce development, and family services. To help prepare the neighborhood, volunteers will take on a wide range of outdoor tasks: mowing overgrown lots, removing brush and debris, disposing of dumped tires, and clearing alleyways and sidewalks.

No specialized skills are required. All equipment is provided, and individuals, schools, churches, and businesses are encouraged to register as teams. Whether you can offer one day or the full week, your hands will make a real difference.

Over the past decade, Life Remodeled has mobilized more than 80,000 volunteers to remove blight from hundreds of city blocks while investing millions in long-term neighborhood partnerships. The Six Day Project continues to be a high-impact, hope-filled way for Metro Detroiters to serve side by side, block by block.
