A half mile stretch along what has been voted the best riverwalk in America opened Saturday, drawing hundreds of people to the site to observe breathtaking views of the Motor City.
The Detroit Riverfront Conservancy celebrated the completion and grand opening of the Uniroyal Promenade, spanning from Mount Elliott Park to Gabriel Richard Park, just east of the MacArthur Bridge that leads to Belle Isle.
