Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit was founded in 1921 by the Rev. John Martin. Nearly 100 years later, the organization serves over 900 local businesses, providing workforce training and career support for individuals in metro Detroit.From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 25, its CEO, Daniel Varner, will be the speaker at the Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber Business Forum luncheon.“Dan Varner is a tremendous leader who continues to have a positive and lasting impact on our region,” chamber President Ronald Hinrichs said. “His knowledge and expertise in the nonprofit industry and its role in the community will provide for a wonderful and enlightening event for our membership and the public.”
