Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak is the one hospital in Michigan offering Proton Therapy for cancer treatments. Hudson Brown, 5 years old from Grosse Pointe Farms, was the first child to receive cranial/spinal proton treatments. It’s a high-tech alternative to ex-ray radiation therapy. Hudson loves Transformers and Legos, and has successfully completed the proton therapy. One of the Transformers’ actors, Mark Wahlberg, surprised the family by sending Hudson a note and providing hamburgers for his celebration party.
