The Rochester Community Runs and Walks for Meals

Dash down the Clinton River Trail in support of Meals on Wheels Saturday, June 3 rd.  All proceeds will benefit OPC’s Meals on Wheels program, which provides daily meals for homebound senior seven days a week.

Supporting the Meals on Wheels program in our community is important due to the

overwhelming need for its services. In 2016, OPC’s Nutrition Department prepared over 94,000

home delivered meals for nine different communities in Oakland County. The OPC 5K Run or

Walk for Meals raises funds to help support this program.

Beginning at OPC, runners and walkers will take to the starting line at 8am and race down the

serene Clinton River Trail. The 5K course is flat with only one hill making it the perfect course

for any athlete. There is a reduced entry fee for pre-registered participants before May 29th

: $15 for ages 12 and under and $20 all other participants. Race day entry fee is $30. All pre-registered

participants will be guaranteed a t-shirt. Awards will be given out by 10 year age groups for

timed participants. For online registration, visit www.eastsideracingcompany.com to register

online. No matter if you run or walk across the finish line, thank you for supporting Meals on

Wheels. Also, don’t forget to say hi to our special guest, Hooper from the Detroit Pistons!
