The Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit presents Comedy for KAT (Kids All Together), a fundraiser for children with special needs, on Thursday, May 5 at Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle, 310 S. Troy Street in Royal Oak.
The event will feature “Cash Cab” star Ben Bailey, a six-time Emmy Award winner who has appeared on “Road Rage and Accidental Ornithology,” “Mad TV,” “Star Search,” “Last Call with Carson Daly,” “The Late Show,” “The Oprah Winfrey Show” and “Rachael Ray.” He hosted “Who’s Still Standing,” “Best in the Business” and “After the Catch,” and he made frequent appearances on National Geographic’s “Brain Games.” He has had roles on “30 Rock,” “Parenthood,” “Law and Order,” “Hope & Faith,” “The Knights of Prosperity” and “One Life to Live,” and he can be seen in the films “Bad Parents,” “Don’t Shoot the Pharmacist” and “Bad Meat.”
KAT is the JCC’s award-winning inclusion program, open to the entire community, that offers children with special needs the opportunity to fully participate in JCC programming including the Sarah & Irving Pitt Child Development Center, JCC Day Camps, break camps, exercise programs, social events and more.
Karen Gordon and Franci Silver are co-chairs of Comedy for KAT, which begins at 8 p.m. (doors open at 7 p.m.).
