How to Become a DRFC Volunteer
Step 1: Submit an Online Application
Begin by completing the Volunteer Application on the DRFC website.(detroitriverfront.org)
Step 2: Attend a Volunteer Info Session
After submitting your application, you’ll be invited to a Zoom-based Volunteer Info Session. These sessions provide an overview of the Conservancy’s mission, volunteer roles, and expectations.(detroitriverfront.org)
Step 3: Complete Required Paperwork
Following the info session, you’ll need to sign a Release and Waiver of Liability and Indemnity Agreement and complete a background screening.(detroitriverfront.org)
Step 4: Participate in In-Person Training
Once your paperwork is processed, you’ll attend an in-person training session. During this session, you’ll receive a volunteer uniform and sign up for your first assignment.(detroitriverfront.org, detroitriverfront.org)
