Movie Review:Artificially Conceiving a Bad Romantic Comedy

by Mary Rose Somarriba Jennifer Aniston’s big new movie made headlines this week—for flopping. The Switch, a romantic comedy about a forty-year-old single woman who wants a baby and chooses to be artificially inseminated, brought in embarrassingly low ticket sales of only $8.4 million on opening weekend. Hollywood reporters have tried to think of all number of reasons for why it flopped so badly, ranging from the myth of lazy August filmgoers to the theory that Aniston is a blockbuster buzzkill.

LookUpDetroit.com is offered to the Metro Detroit community as a gift, given out of a motivation to serve others. Here, with the help of the wider community you will find uplifting resources, web links, articles, listings, artists and events. This is a neighbor to neighbor, family friendly resource where the concentration is on many of the wonderful aspects in our Detroit Region. Here, you'll find people, places, nonprofit activities both metro wide and also in your own smaller community. Look at the many interests covered and think of contributing something through writing, photographs or videos.  Together, we can make this a very helpful web address for your neighbors and you to regularly return to.  This is an invitation to do something significant together, to better communicate with and connect our many diverse Metro Detroit communities.
