Thanks for your kind words, Richard. We have found this host site opportunity to a be our heart work at this congregation of believers. We are always looking for volunteers either as individuals or as congregations wishing to partner with us. Our next week of service will be July 9 – 16, 2013. This is a great non-profit that is building (and giving away) 7 NEW HOMES this summer to 7 deserving families in struggling areas of the Detroit Metro area. The funds from the concert will help build these homes and ‘remodel’ the family members’ lives.

If you CAN’T COME to the concert, please consider just buying a few $10 ‘tickets’ to support this fabulous non-profit (and give them away to someone like Life Remodeled does with their houses). [They are a 501c3, so your purchases are tax deductible].

John, nice post, as it puts things in the proper perspective. I have found myself recently buying into the notion that I need this or wish I had that in light of these “tough economic times” , as it’s stated daily on the airwaves. Truth be told, I am blessed beyond what I could ever ask or imagine. I have more than 99% of the rest of the world being that I have a roof overhead, access to “clean” water, and a car to drive. Now it’s time to get busy sharing my talents with those in my midst. Thanks for sharing!
